Majorel Portugal: History & Key Figures
In 2014, we opened our first office in Lisbon, Portugal and started operations with just 43 local employees onsite. Throughout the years, our team has been growing significantly and now, with almost 1500 professionals, we operate in two big cities: Lisbon and Porto. Working in a hybrid work environment, our colleagues in Portugal deliver customer support, tech support, and content moderation services in 19 languages. They serve some of the top global brands from industries such as High Tech, Travel, Transportation, Banking, Sports, among others.

Corporate Responsibility Actions Across Portugal
Adhering to Majorel’s global four-pillar approach to Corporate Responsibility, our team in Portugal takes actions to support the well-being of local communities and the environment. This year, on International Women’s Day, the team launched an employee challenge on famous women in the history. More than 300 employees took part in the challenge and for each participant, Majorel Portugal donated funds to APAV – Associação Portuguesa de Apoio à Vítima (Portuguese Association for Victim Support). The organization fights against domestic violence and stands in support with women, their rights, and equality.
Our team in Portugal has recently taken another powerful initiative to stand for the environment. In collaboration with Treedom, they have teamed up with our colleagues in Spain, Italy, Croatia, Colombia, and Peru to plant more than 100 trees in the name of our employees. They have also sponsored the farming communities, which take care of the Majorel forest.

When it comes to feeling good at work – our team in Portugal knows exactly how to! As part of Majorel’s global Feel Good Program, they take part in online challenges such as a Book Quiz, come together to play games like Star Wars, and celebrate important events such as Pride Month, Halloween and New Year.
