We opened our first office in the Philippines in 2008 and formed a small, yet resourceful team locally. Over the years, our team has been growing and opening new offices across the country. Currently, our local team operates in 3 cities (Alabang, Eastwood, and Clark) and brings together more than 6,500 professionals who are driven by our core values: Creativity, Excellence, and Respect. They provide customer support, tech support, financial tech support, automative logistics and content moderation services to some of the top international brands from industries such as E-Commerce, Travel, High-tech, and Retail, among others.
Erick Carcamo, Sr. Vice President at Majorel Philippines recalls the exceptional growth and great strength our team in the Philippines has shown over the years, despite the challenges of the pandemic, and in the face of recent natural disasters in the country.
“It’s impossible to grow a team in such short period of time without many having to wear multiple hats. But through all the recruiting, new clients, and many promotions, our team always has the next person UP attitude. There has never been a question as to who will do the job, as everyone has the JUST DO IT attitude. The goal is not about oneself but always about the teams’ success. It doesn’t matter the level or role in the organization, the answer is always ‘How Can I Help’. I am extremely proud to lead the team that is always striving to improve; this is just the beginning of the story that is far from its’ end.
I’ve read a quote which best describes what our team does. ‘Learn to love the journey, not the goal’, because when you set your sight on a goal, a place, or a thing, you must then find a new goal every time you hit it. But when you love the process of the journey, all the bumps, hardships are just a part of the journey that also has successes and accomplishments as part of it.” says Erick Carcamo.
Whether working from home or at the office, our colleagues in the Philippines find ways to come together and take actions in support of local communities, animals, and the environment. Adhering to Majorel’s four-pillar approach to Corporate Responsibility, they have collected and donated funds to the Children’s Home of Eucharistic Love and Kindness, a local NGO, which takes care of unprivileged children between the ages of 5 to 9. By donating to ALIG (Alabang Ladies International Group), they also support 219 unprivileged school children every month by providing school materials, transportation, clothing, and meals. Through their recent initiative, the Project PEARLS, they have sponsored scholarships for the children with limited financial resources. Not only do they support the local communities in need, but also animals and the environment. The team has been donating to a local NGO, Pawssion Project, which is responsible for rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming stray animals.
Our team in the Philippines knows exactly how to feel good at work! As part of the Feel Good Program, Majorel’s global well-being and engagement program, they eagerly come up with countless ideas on how to make work more exciting for their teams! Cyber games and sports festivals are among some of the most popular activities. They also celebrate Pride month, Halloween, and the end-of-the-year party, where they host events such as ‘Battle of the Bands’ and a ‘Talent Show’.
