Viktoria’s Career Story

Viktoria joined Majorel in January 2018 as a Customer Service Specialist and took the first opportunity to grow her skillset and advance in her career. Today she is a Team Leader in our team in Estonia, a Feel Good Ambassador, and a mom of two children. Originally, she found out about Majorel through her husband, who joined our team in 2016. And we couldn’t be happier that she also chose to join our #OneMajorel team.

Tell us about your career before joining Majorel.

For a short time, I lived, worked, and studied in Denmark. When I returned to Estonia, I studied Social-Psychology at the Tallinn University. However, most of my work experience has been in the customer service field. I joined Majorel after 4 years of maternity leave. During that time, I created a career in household management, enhancing the growth and efficiency of my two wonderful children!

How did your career evolve at Majorel and how did you get to where you are today?

During the summer in 2019, we were given the opportunity to apply for our first Talent Enrichment Program (TEP), which I did. I was one of the first ones who went through the training. In December 2019, I was proposed to take over a temporary position as a Team Leader. By the end of my temporary contract, I was given an opportunity to continue being a Team Leader in our department, which I happily agreed to. In the beginning of 2022, I also applied to become a Feel Good Ambassador, which has been a great experience and opportunity to do more positive and exciting things in order to improve and develop our work environment further. How I got to where I am today? I would say some of my biggest strengths are my abilities to adjust to changes, stress resistance and communicational skills.

What are your current responsibilities? Please also tell us about your team.

My team is handling incoming phone calls and emails from the customers and partners, guiding them through our shared platform and acting as an intermediary between the customers and accommodations. Additionally, they are making sure to provide great results in both productivity and customer satisfaction by reaching the targets set by our client and simply being 100% awesome.

As the Team Leader, I am responsible for the operational management of my team and all relevant management activities. My job divides into two main parts: I make sure that my team is providing good results that will satisfy our client and I make sure that my team is getting all the support needed from me. It is an important part of my role to motivate and inspire my teammates to be productive and successful.

What is one project you are most proud of?

I am really proud of the work we do in the Feel Good Community. We have a great team and together we constantly come up with different initiatives that unite our people and make them feel appreciated and valued as they are! It is a very nice feeling that you can influence and further improve a work environment.

What makes you #FeelGood at Majorel?

It is my dear colleagues. We truly have amazing people in our Majorel team!

What is your biggest passion outside of work?

I love spending time with my family. Finding different fun activities that can be enjoyed together with my kids are my biggest passion!

Do you have any advice for young people who are just starting their careers?

When you enjoy your work, you work hard and become more professional. When you become professional, you feel confident. When you are confident and professional, sooner or later you will have career development opportunities and Majorel is a great place for that!
