In this article, we shine a spotlight on our team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s capital, and one of the world’s most futuristic cities.

Majorel Malaysia: History & Key Figures

We opened our first office in Kuala Lumpur in 2018. Initially, our local team consisted of 500 team members. In the face of the pandemic and all the challenges it brought, we still managed to grow and develop our local team further. As of now, the team in Malaysia brings together more than 1000 professionals, who deliver customer support and content moderation services to some of the most well-known, international brands from industries such as Travel, E-commerce, IT, among others.

Corporate Responsibility Actions Across Malaysia

Corporate responsibility is a fundamental principle of our corporate culture also in Malaysia. In support of the Majorel’s five-pillar approach to Corporate Responsibility, our local team took an amazing initiative recently and donated to the local NGO, Dignity for Children Foundation. Through their joint efforts, they collected enough funds to sponsor the education of eight underprivileged children for the whole year.

They also sponsored RUMAH K.I.D.S, a shelter home for orphaned, abused, abandoned, and neglected children. On top of the sponsorship, our team also collected food, home necessities, and hygiene products, and donated to the same shelter during the Christmas period.

Feel Good at Majorel Malaysia

Whether working from home or at the office, our team in Malaysia knows how to bond and feel good together! One of the most beloved activities as part of the Feel Good Program, Majorel’s global well-being and engagement framework, is Majorel Sports Kaki. More than 250 employees joined the Sports Kaki so far, and together they take part in various sports activities such as hiking, cycling, badminton, and futsal.

“Cultural Meal” is another favorite activity of our colleagues in Malaysia. They celebrate each country’s national day by gathering and sharing a traditional meal. What a great opportunity to socialize, bond, and educate each other on different cultures and traditions. Last year, they celebrated Malaysian, Thai, Korean, Japanese, and Vietnamese cuisines so far, and have more parties to come this year!
